Hello, I'm Nicola K.

Welcome to Lippe and our overgrown...er, enchanted garden! We, Frank and Nicola, live here with our dog and cats and look forward to your visit. Our house is within sight of the parking space, but far enough away to ensure your privacy. We are happy to answer questions, give tips, and offer our guest bathroom for showering – unfortunately, we don't have a separate toilet for guests. However, we are open to improvising ;-). In the neighboring town of Bad Lippspringe, the grounds of the 2017 State Garden Show are always worth a visit. The Westfalentherme spa – just a short walk through the woods – offers fun in the water and a stunning sauna area for relaxation. For a more tranquil experience, the small but charming outdoor pool in Schlangen is a great option. The Lippe region is characterized by abundant nature and picturesque small villages. The Teutoburg Forest is ideal for hiking – the famous Hermann Monument can be reached from Schlangen in just under 30 minutes. The Senne region is a popular area for horseback riding. The beautiful open-air museum in Detmold offers plenty to see and learn. Worthwhile destinations like the eagle sanctuary in Berlebeck and the bird park in Heiligenkirchen are practically nearby. The Externsteine rock formation is spectacular, offering a magnificent view from below and a far-reaching panorama from the top! Dogs are generally very welcome here. Our 2,200 square meter property is completely fenced, and if it works out, visiting dogs are also welcome to enjoy this freedom. The only requirement is that they tolerate our cats and are well-behaved (our neutered male cat is!). And since we are surrounded by friendly neighbors, we don't want to subject them to excessive barking ;-). If you would like to bring more than one dog, please inquire beforehand!
