Hello, I'm Frank Strauch and I've lived on the Strauch Adventure Farm since 2004. The Oderbruch region is characterized by fields, forests, lakes, and, of course, the Oder River. Our farm is about 10 km from the Oder, 5 km from the Güstebiese Loose border crossing (ferry), 23 km from the Küstrin border crossing, 29 km from the Hohenwutzen border crossing, and 43 km from the Frankfurt (Oder) border crossing. The village of Letschin, the pearl of the Oderbruch, is 5 km away. There you'll find supermarkets, a cinema, banks, a gas station, car repair shops, and so on. The nearest towns are Seelow (22 km), Wriezen (24 km), Bad Freienwalde (30 km), Frankfurt (Oder) (43 km), and Berlin (approx. 72 km). There's an outdoor swimming pool in Zechin and several lakes in the area, such as the lake in Altfriedland. On our farm, we have the following animals: llamas, sheep, geese, ducks, chickens, dogs, and cats. Every second weekend of the month, we host a flea market and antiques fair on our farm, which has been very well received. We also occasionally have festivals on our farm. There's a bistro/café on the farm that's open for these events. In the driveway, there's a commercial refrigerator where we display and sell our own products and those from the region. Our area also has a rich history, including references to Frederick the Great, Schinkel, a post mill, and my ancestor Aegidius Strauch. Have fun and discover the Oderbruch region!
