Welcome to the Sauerland - the "land of a thousand mountains" Approx. 3.5 km outside of Olsberg Bruchhausen below the ski area and the adventure mountain is your parking space in the car park on the north slope of the Langenberg , which at 843 meters is the highest mountain in North Rhine-Westphalia. This is where the Langenberg circular trail starts with a view of the national natural monument Bruchhauser Steine , the four imposing rock giants from the Ice Age. If you want more action afterwards , the Sternrodler mountain toboggan run will pull you up 300m in a sled. From there your ride goes through 7 curves with built-in jumps and steep slopes down into the valley back to your VanSite pitch - the ultimate leisure time pleasure in the Sauerland. In winter , the pure natural snow ski area with the approx. 1300 m long descent , one of the longest in the Sauerland , attracts the skiers among the campers. The location is also an ideal starting point for a cross-country or touring ski tour in the direction of Hochheide Niedersfeld or Willingen. Of course , this is also a unique experience as a winter hike. The Sternrodt mountain restaurant takes care of your physical well-being at weekends and during the holiday periods.
