About the site

Our barn is your gateway to the countryside. As soon as you have driven your bus through the barn and greeted our T2 "Timmy" , it goes down a short gravel path and you are already standing in the middle of our alpacas' pasture. Here you are surrounded by green meadows , trees , a small stream and the curious and at the same time shy New World camelids. Watch the busy bees at work and wish the horses in the neighboring paddock a nice day. From here you can explore nature on foot or by bike , eat delicious food in the nearby Pörrbacher Hof (restaurant with beer garden) (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) and enjoy country life. We can offer guided bike tours in the North Palatinate mountains by arrangement. There are numerous other leisure activities in the area. We are happy to provide information. If you would like to make a fire / barbecue , just let us know. We'll show you where and how and can borrow a fire bowl if required. Please understand if we cannot allow barbecuing due to persistent drought. Please note that we do not offer a toilet on our pitch and it is therefore necessary that you bring your own solution for this. Since you are standing on the pasture of our animals , a simple folding spade is not enough for this ;)

WOW, unsere allererste Fahrt mit dem Wohnmobil und gleich die erste Buchung über VanSite ein richtiger Volltreffer. Susan und Kai haben ein kleines Paradies in der Pfalz geschaffen und jeder, der die Möglichkeit hat dort eine schöne Zeit zu verbringen, darf sich sehr glücklich schätzen. Der Stellplatz direkt im Alpaka-Garten ist traumhaft. Es hat keine 2 Minuten nach unserer Ankunft gedauert und die kleine Herde war sofort neugierig und hat sich bis ans Wohnmobil getraut. Hier kann man herrlich runterkommen und entschleunigen. Auch Wanderfreunde werden glücklich, da mehrere toll ausgeschilderte Rundwege direkt vom Ort aus starten. So kann man seinen Camper bequem vor Ort stehen lassen. Und wenn man abends dann wieder „zu Hause“ bei den Alpakas ankommt und unter dem Sternenhimmel was leckeres zu essen kocht, ist der Kurzurlaub perfekt. Es hat uns super gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder… Und nochmals vielen Dank für eure super Unterstützung bei An- und Abfahrt zum Stellplatz! :-)

I spent a wonderful day with my Bulli and a super quiet, restful night. Dinner and breakfast in the best company of the Alpkas was a unique experience! The host family is incredibly hospitable and you can learn a lot about the fluffy roommates if you want. I will definitely be back! :)

The first night in the roof tent was supposed to be something special and it was. Very friendly and caring hosts with valuable tips for the perfect camping experience. The alpacas are super laid back and share their idyllic meadow with a peaceful curiosity without being intrusive. The location is very quiet with a great view. If necessary, one is quickly in the next place for shopping or directly on field and forest paths to explore the area. Absolutely recommendable.

We spontaneously stayed with the L family last weekend and it was just world class. If you drive through the barn past the Bulli, you've arrived on vacation. You stand up straight on the meadow. There is a calm that we do not know from our home. The highlight are the alpacas. First a little shy, but then, driven by curiosity, getting closer and closer. But never pushy. The hosts are super nice and very kind. We really enjoyed it here and look forward to seeing you again. What should also be mentioned is that we were able to arrive very spontaneously. This pitch is on the edge of an idyllic village. Directly behind the square, the property merges into nature and the beautiful landscape. Worthwhile hikes and walks are easily possible. The alpacas (and the goats next door) create a peaceful atmosphere and are fun to watch. We had a nice and very quiet stay. The hosts are very friendly and helpful - we felt comfortable and welcome.

Very friendly, helpful and personable hosts. The area is ideal for small and large hiking or MTB tours. The pitch is something very special, camping in the middle of the alpacas was a whole new experience for us. The animals are very shy, only when everything is quiet do they occasionally come closer to graze. The whole family loved this quiet and beautifully situated pitch, we will definitely come back.
