Hello everyone, We would like to briefly introduce you to our small mountain farm in the beautiful Bavarian Forest. We are located between the towns of Straubing, Cham, and Viechtach, on the edge of the Bavarian Forest, above the village of Stallwang (94375), whose village square is about a 5-minute walk away. Besides a bakery, pharmacy, household goods store, and bus stop, the village square also houses a restaurant serving traditional cuisine and a pizzeria. As already mentioned, our small farm is situated slightly higher than the village, with a magnificent view of the southern slope of the Gallnerberg. Since we only keep two alpacas and cats, it's absolutely peaceful here. Centrally located yet secluded. Dogs are welcome. After a hike of about 30 to 45 minutes, you'll reach our local mountain, which offers views of the Alps depending on the weather. We are a starting point for hiking and mountain biking tours, and the Goldsteig trail also passes through our property. There are also castle ruins to explore nearby. Our property offers parking for up to three vehicles simultaneously. A maximum distance of approximately 30 meters between vehicles ensures privacy. One parking space is located below the old barn, along a grassy, paved path, and is easily accessible from the road. Another parking space is situated above the farmyard (currently only accessible to vehicles under 6.4 meters in length) and offers a view of the meadow and the village center. The third parking space is located below the farmyard, next to the alpaca pasture. A fire pit with a grill is available. Firewood is available for a donation. Toilets, electricity (6 A), drinking water, and a wastewater disposal/composting toilet are available or can be used. Wi-Fi is available in the garden and in front of the house. There is a hot water shower behind the house which you are welcome to use. For cozy evenings and in bad weather, a lovely common room with a fully equipped kitchen, wood-burning stove, and satellite TV is available. You will receive a short tour of the farm upon arrival. Please note that quiet hours begin at 10 pm. If you have children, please be aware that we are located on a mountain surrounded by steep slopes. Glamping: From April 2026, a sleeping barrel from Finkota will be available to offer camping enthusiasts without a motorhome a great camping experience. Please contact us for more information.
