About the site
Welcome to the Lexenmühle in the popular Holzbach Gorge, the oldest nature reserve in the Westerwald. Your unique, secluded pitch is located in our large garden, about 100m from our old mill. A private path leads you to your own chill spot directly by the wildly romantic Holzbach stream, which reliably relaxes body and mind. Depending on the season, various fruits and vegetables grow around your pitch, which you can use for your benefit after a brief consultation. The famous Westerwaldsteig trail runs directly past the square, leading through the equally well-known and directly adjacent Holzbach gorge. After a fascinating hike through the gorge, the Hof-Café at Dappricher Hof is highly recommended for a place to stop for refreshments. Dear Lukas, What a beautiful spot in your garden! A warm welcome. Everything you could wish for is there. It's hard to describe in words; you have to experience it for yourself. We only stayed one night, but we'll definitely be back.
With this place, Lukas and his family have created a little paradise, a green oasis where we felt welcome and well cared for. When we arrived later than expected on the day of our arrival, we were even greeted by a fire in the fire pit. It's wonderfully peaceful, and you can hear the stream in the background, which is very relaxing. Bread rolls were available upon request, and Lukas is always a helpful host whenever we have any questions.
My spontaneous weekend getaway with Lukas and his family was a complete delight. The location is ideal. The sound of flowing water adds to the peaceful atmosphere, and you can set off on hikes directly from your tent into nature. Wonderful. The dogs and I felt completely comfortable and welcome. Lukas is an incredibly helpful host. Thank you for allowing us to arrive so spontaneously. Absolutely recommended!
