About the site
The pitch is located beneath a 150-year-old beech tree directly beside a small stream. It is well-maintained within a circle of birch and oak trees. The site is shaded all day long. Here, nature is right outside the camper's door. Deer, hares, and birds still say goodnight here. Our dog Balu might even stop by, as the site is about 150 meters from our farm. The pitch is elevated and offers panoramic views of fields and their crops. The surrounding area is ideal for walking and cycling. If you follow the path for 500 meters, you will already be in a nature reserve. Shortly beyond, the Lehte River flows, which is a nature reserve. The Alhorn fish ponds are within cycling distance. In the village (2 km), our village shop, run by the local community, is open every morning. Fruit, fresh rolls and cold cuts, canned goods, dairy products, and other everyday items can be purchased here. You can easily refill your fresh water on our farm. We stopped here for the night on our way through. Fabian and his family gave us a warm welcome. As described, we had a spot under a tree, which provided shade during the hot summer day. The road is quiet, with only the occasional walker or tractor passing by. Our 3-year-old daughter had a great time playing here. We highly recommend this place.

For me, as someone who enjoys "free camping," this is definitely a 5-star site! Close to nature and quiet. Not perfect yet, but charming! Janina and Fabian are extremely friendly and are putting a lot of effort into making this site a great place (leveling and stabilizing the ground, trimming trees, setting up a concrete seating area, etc.). And they have further plans to make the place even more pleasant. What you shouldn't expect, however, is excessive luxury… everything is functional and rustic. There are no waste disposal or supply facilities. You're standing on a wide gravel path, occasionally used by walkers and cyclists, beneath large beech and oak trees. A shady spot is guaranteed all day long, which is especially beneficial on hot summer days. But in stormy weather, it's probably rather unpleasant. And anyone who relies on solar energy will be left with nothing. On the other hand, there's good cell reception (Telekom 5G/LTE), which is also sufficient for mobile working. There's no room for a large camper van or an awning. Vans up to 7 meters long can easily fit in the van. For anything longer or wider, I think it'll be too tight. Maneuvering will also be more difficult. Cars with roof tents that are set up sideways could cause problems. If in doubt, you might not be on the best side. Directly from the parking space there are beautiful paths and avenues for walking in the adjacent nature reserve. If you are passing through or want to spend the weekend in the countryside, these two will provide you with a lovely, rustic spot. I'll try it again. Thanks!
