Incredibly great and interesting parking spot! Located directly next to the Saupark (Saupark), it's a wonderful place to spend several hours strolling and, with a bit of luck, spotting deer, stags, etc. Not far away is the bison enclosure, where you can admire animals you wouldn't expect to find in Germany! The forestry office employees are also all very friendly and open-minded and answer any questions that arise directly! I'd love to come back!
The campsite in front of the hunting lodge not only offers a spectacular backdrop, but also a variety of interesting leisure activities: The natural history museum located directly within the castle is highly recommended for learning about the local animals. Directly behind the castle grounds is the huge wild boar park, where, with a bit of luck, you might even see them in their natural habitat. The park is ideal for long walks. We also visited the nearby bison enclosure. Here, we were able to observe not only bison, but also bears, wolves, and many other animals up close. The beer garden at the castle was, of course, closed due to the time of year, but it doesn't take much imagination to imagine its coziness in summer. The game shop was open again and offered some delicacies. All of this, in our opinion, made up for the only drawback, namely the proximity of the campsite to the road. We certainly slept well after such an impressive day!
