Hello dear campers, in the Walsrode bird park region we cultivate 230 fruit trees on 3 hectares of meadow orchards and operate a farm cider press in the apple barn. The variety of varieties is special. Around 80 different old apple varieties as standard trees are surrounded by a hedge of local shrubs. The three pitches have different advantages. Anke and Frank are wonderful and welcoming hosts. Booking was very straightforward. They have a spacious apple orchard where we thoroughly enjoyed our time. You feel like you're staying with friends who are always available, offer tips about the area, recommend cycling routes, and you learn a lot about apple cultivation. The apple juice is excellent. The toilet and shower were clean, and you can buy products in the apple barn. We'll definitely be back! 👍
A truly lovely pitch, on a beautifully landscaped farm. Great separate sanitary facilities in the old barn; the barn's kitchen also offers washing-up facilities. The only slight drawback was the nearby motorway. We would definitely stay at this campsite again overnight, as everything else was perfect and it was lovely to have a place all to ourselves.
It was a truly lovely stay with wonderful hosts, delicious apple juice, and a fantastic view. We'd love to come back again :)
Anke was super accommodating. We arrived a little later than usual and received a very friendly welcome. There was a beautiful meadow, and the restrooms were right next door. We were just passing through, but we'll definitely come back.
It was our first trip with our new camper. A wonderful spot among all the apple trees. Quiet and idyllic. We're not familiar with the old apple varieties that grow there anymore, so it was all the more interesting to try some of them. Many thanks to Anke and her husband for providing this wonderful camping spot. We'll definitely be back.
