About the site
The parking space is located on a set-back plot of land of around 2700 square meters on the outskirts of Penig. You can camp on a large meadow with tents in the open air or under large trees. The camping meadow is completely fenced in and there is a 24 square meter terrace with benches. Ideally suited for a romantic fire in the existing fire bowl or for a communal barbecue. You can park directly in front of the fenced meadow. The meadow and terrace are completely hidden from view from the outside. It is only ever rented to one interested party, so that you have your own space and can relax. All necessary shops are within walking distance in the immediate vicinity (Lidl, Rewe, bakery, butcher, gas station, etc.). Excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity: America --> America is the smallest district of Penig, originally created as a factory colony. Until it was incorporated into Penig on January 1st, 1994, it was part of the municipality of Arnsdorf. It is a very idyllic and quiet place for nature lovers. Due to Amerika's favorable location in the beautiful Mulde valley, visitors can get to know the country and its people on the historically developed network of hiking trails. PENIGER KELLERBERGE --> The Kellerberg complex with a total length of around 2000 m was completed around 1560. In 1615, the brewing rights applied to 250 houses out of a total of around 270 houses at the time. For centuries, beer was stored in this "medieval freezer" at temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees Celsius and thus protected from spoilage. Weisse Spitze --> Anyone who takes the left-hand hiking trail, located high above the Mulde, between Penig and Amerika, will pass the "Weiße Spitze" shortly after entering the deciduous forest. This over two-meter-high obelisk made of red Rochlitz porphyry has a pyramid-shaped white tip, which gave the monument its name. In addition, the entire stone is said to have been whitewashed. The monument was erected in 1838 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the battle at the Mulden crossing in the run-up to the great Battle of the Nations in Leipzig at this location on the Hühnerberg. Köbe Nature Park --> Köbe Park is located in the southwest of the town of Penig and has been used for many years as a leisure and recreation area by the people of Penig, but also by nature lovers from the surrounding area. Several animal enclosures with small horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, rabbits, fallow deer, guinea pigs, pheasants and other bird species are grouped around the artificially dammed pond, which is home to numerous waterfowl species. There is an adventure playground for our little nature lovers to romp around in.
