About the site
You can move around and develop freely on our spacious, beautiful 3500 sqm property in Wegscheid am Kamp (Kamptal) in the Waldviertel. Children can have a wonderful time here (there is a road in front of the house, but it is separated from the property by a thick hedge). There are no immediate neighbors and when you book you are always alone on the property (unless you bring friends with you. Fee per pitch as stated). There is the option of hanging up a hammock in the garden. In the evenings you can prepare something nice at the covered fireplace (there are several places to sit and tables) or take a walk to the excellent restaurant 5 minutes away. A baker's van comes to the small town twice a week and a butcher once a week (small playground in the town center) and in a neighboring town there is a farm shop that is open all day, 7 days a week and offers a great selection of regional products! On the other side of the road is the beautiful Kamp (white water, Natura 2000) where you can fish and canoe. A 3-minute drive takes you to a beautiful reservoir (plus public toilet) where you can swim and go boating (there is a special dog area). Krems is half an hour away and Vienna is about 45 minutes away. For stays of 5 nights or more, you can order organic eggs, organic juice and Burgenland wine from us in advance for an additional charge. There is an outdoor shower and a dry toilet on our property, a place for emptying campers can be found, for example, at the Ottenstein reservoir, and a very clean public toilet is 3 minutes away. In summer, the Waldviertel offers a wide range of cultural activities. Otherwise, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature here. The place is also perfect for easy and moderate hikes, for exploring old castles and the constellations, and for nature observation.

Wunderschöne, weitläufige Wiese neben Feldern und Wald. Wir haben ganz oben neben den Apfelbäumen geparkt, einfach wegen dem noch besseren Ausblick. Unten beim Haus gibt es Strom und Wasser, aber das brauchen wir nicht. Unterlegkeile sind hilfreich, denn die Wiese ist leicht abschüssig. Wir hatte keine dabei und sind halt ein bisschen schief gestanden. Einzig die Einfahrt ist recht schmal und mit so einem dicken Hintern, wie es unser "August" hat, muss man die Seitenspiegel einklappen und ganz gerade durchfahren. Das hab ich nicht gemacht und mir mit den Zweigen der Büsche den Lack zerkratzt. Es ist ruhig, obwohl die Strasse in der Nähe ist, allerdings gibt es kaum Verkehr und in der Nacht fährt dort eh kaum jemand vorbei. Die Gastgeberin Lena antwortet schnell und sehr freundlich. Ein romantischer Fleck an dem man sich wohl fühlt. Die Vögel zwitschern, der Bach plätschert und ab und an hört man die Kühe von der Weide. Herrlich!!!

Ein schöner Ort zum Entspannen. und ja, es gibt eine Straße entlang, aber sie ist nicht stark befahren und hat mich eigentlich überhaupt nicht gestört. Es gibt eine schöne Aussicht (siehe Foto) und das Grundstück hat eine wirklich schöne Energie. Es gibt Wasser direkt aus der Quelle und eine kalte Dusche, die herrlich erfrischend ist. Lena hat sehr klare Anweisungen, die sie dir schickt und nette Ideen, um in der Gegend etwas zu unternehmen, sowie Tipps für notwendige Einkäufe. Ich selbst habe das Grundstück überhaupt nicht verlassen, da ich nicht das Bedürfnis hatte, dies zu tun. Ich habe die Besitzer nicht getroffen, aber der schriftliche Kontakt war sehr angenehm. Wenn es nach mir geht, war dies nicht das letzte Mal, dass ich hierher gekommen bin, um zu entspannen. Ich habe es wirklich genossen!
