On over 20 hectares you can experience pure nature and why a forest garden is the better alternative. Guided tours take place every Sunday from April to October. Please register as the start time can vary. Other dates are possible by arrangement. Why forest garden? In our latitudes, the forest would be the naturally predominant vegetation and thus ideally adapted to our climate. If you left a field or meadow fallow for too long, bushes would soon colonize it and a little later trees. By creating a forest garden, you can imitate natural vegetation and work with nature instead of against it. Trees and plants bind carbon dioxide with the help of photosynthesis and are therefore driving forces in the fight against the greenhouse effect and the climate crisis. Forest gardens have similar positive effects to a natural forest: They can store water, prevent strong wind or water erosion, provide a habitat for animals and have a balancing effect on the local climate. They also provide shade and provide themselves with nutrients through falling leaves. Last but not least, forest gardens offer a certain diversity and give more species a home than monocultures, such as those we typically find in fields or plantations. A forest garden also offers you a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, nuts and herbs for your own needs, while not requiring much care. You don't have to plow the soil. You also don't have to sow seeds every year because you usually use perennial plants in your forest garden.
