About the site
With us you live right in the middle of nature. Our house is located in a beautiful forest area on the Dutch border (de Meinweggebiet) from here you have many excursion options. Your pitch is on a forest meadow behind our house right next to a natural pond. From your pitch you can look directly into our fallow deer enclosure and watch our animals. From our location you have numerous opportunities to go on excursions and explore the area. There are excellent hiking, horse riding and cycling trails. If time allows, we would be happy to take you on a mountain bike tour. Fishing is possible in our pond on request... Horse paddocks are also available and can be booked separately on request. If you want to relax after hiking, horse riding or cycling, you can use our sauna for an additional charge. The nearby Effelder Waldsee invites you to go water skiing and swimming. Want a bit more hustle and bustle? ... something to eat or do some shopping? The nearest bakery and butcher can be found in the village about 3km away from us. In Wassenberg or Heinsberg you have numerous options for dining and relaxing. I'd be happy to give you a few tips. If you want to go shopping at the Roermond Outlet... that's about 20 minutes away from us. There you should definitely take a look at Roermond and the Maasplaten with the harbor and you should definitely try a French fry to go. From here you have good connections to the big cities like Aachen, Mönchengladbach, Düsseldorf or Cologne, which you can quickly reach from here. Would you like to visit us? We had a wonderful and peaceful overnight stay at a very idyllic campsite. Communication was very friendly and uncomplicated, and the site is exactly as described. The surrounding area is ideal for activities such as hiking or mountain biking.

Great location. Heidi and her entire family were wonderful hosts. We'd love to come back. Be careful, the gate is quite narrow, but it was fine with my 2.05m wide van.
