About the site
Texas is a district of the municipality of Groß Oesingen (Gemeinde Wesendorf). Texas has eight farmsteads and is located near the B4 between Gifhorn and Uelzen. The campsite is a nearly 2,000 m² meadow, almost entirely surrounded by trees and shrubs. The view of the field is unobstructed. Since it is not far to Hanover (Zoo), Braunschweig, Wolfsburg (Autostadt), Celle (Old Town) and Uelzen (Hundertwasser Station), day trips are easy. Hankensbüttel has an otter center, Gifhorn has a mill museum.

A superb spot in the garden of the lovingly designed farm. A very friendly hostess, always approachable and helpful. The bathroom has everything you need, almost hotel-quality, with fresh towels, soap, and even mosquito repellent. Texas is truly an insider tip 👍🏼

We stayed at Maaret's on a beautiful meadow next to a wonderful farm – in the middle of nature. A toilet and shower were available to us; both were very clean. There was also a sink with everything you could need for cooking. The kitchen was fully stocked and the washing machine was available. Communication with Maaret was super easy, and she was incredibly helpful. As a small welcome gift, she gave us a few eggs from her free-range chickens. We would come back here again :)
