About the site
Not far from the edge of the forest lies our meadow, where we plant a few trees each year so that we can have a beautiful fruit tree population in a few years. The property is fenced and offers beautiful views of the Odenwald, including the Otzberg mountain and the vineyards near Groß-Umstadt. There's plenty to do in our surroundings, including the Art Nouveau swimming pool in Darmstadt, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Messel Pit, the Kranistein hunting lodge, the Lautertal rock formations, the Otzberg mountain, the Hüttenthal cheese dairy, the Marbach reservoir, the Prinz von Hessen pit, the Reichelsheim chocolate factory, the Darmstadt State Museum, historic old towns, the Beerfelden horse market, the Vivarium Zoo, the English Garden in Eulbach, the wildlife park, the Roman Villa Haselburg, and more.

The rest of the meadow is used to produce feed for our horses. 3. If you bring a dog or other animal with you, please take their droppings with you. 4. It was beautiful. Alexander and his son gave us a warm welcome. The place is wonderful and invites you to relax and linger. We immediately stayed a second night.

A beautiful spot surrounded by meadows and fields with a very friendly host who stopped by for a quick chat after work. 👍 There are lovely paths directly from the square for a stroll or even a longer hike. And the convenient location makes it ideal for a stopover while passing through. However, you must not be sensitive to noise.

I felt very comfortable at Alexander's campsite and received a very warm welcome. You really feel very much at home there, and especially for me as a city dweller, the relaxation I was hoping for quickly set in. I'd be happy to come back. :)

4 out of 5 stars for a great spot amidst meadows and fields. A friendly host who happened to be there upon arrival. -1 star because the street is quite noisy, but if you're a city dweller it won't bother you.

We spent two nights and a relaxing day at this campsite and were very satisfied. Alexander responded to our request very quickly and flexibly and welcomed us personally. The site is, as described, very idyllic. The nearby main road is audible, but it also makes the campsite perfectly suitable for a stopover. Highly recommended!
