Incorrect behavior causes particularly great damage to the ecosystem, especially in restricted areas such as nature reserves. Rule 4: Always keep dogs on a leash! Rule 5: No wild camping, barbecuing, lighting fires or partying in the great outdoors This is only permitted in the areas designated for this purpose. Rule 6: Always take your rubbish with you Rubbish not only disfigures nature, it can also cause diseases in animals and contaminate groundwater. This is especially true for the highly toxic cigarette butts that are classified as hazardous waste and left in nature. The animals not only fatally mistake the butts for food. The glowing cigarette butts, which are often carelessly thrown away, can easily cause devastating fires, especially in the forest. Rule 7: Observe bans! Rule 8: Leave (almost) undisturbed nature undisturbed According to nature and environmental protection associations, there is no longer any undisturbed nature in Germany. This is precisely why ski tourers, climbers and whitewater sports enthusiasts must stick to restricted areas. If they don't do this, species that are already threatened could become extinct. Rule 9: Do not chase, pet or photograph wild animals up close Here too, the rule to protect nature is: keep your distance!
