Here you can stand on a meadow at the edge of the forest. There is nothing here except deer, buzzards, the forest and you. So you have to be able to take care of yourself, including your own toilet! Please don't pee in the meadow and take your rubbish and your (four-legged) friends' business with you! If you don't mind all that, you'll find a nice place in the middle of nature here. The Biggesee is a 10-minute walk away and invites you to watch the sunset on or in the water. Attendorn is the nearest town, which is a 10-minute drive away, and has everything you need. Rewe is open until 10 p.m. In the area you can go hiking (the site is right on the Way of St. James and the Sauerland Höhenflug is not far either), cycling (if you don't mind mountains) and do lots of other exciting things that take you out into nature. The only catch is the drop forge, which is within earshot of the site. This can disturb the idyll somewhat, but from 10 p.m. onwards you will have nature all to yourself. The access to the meadow is below the glass containers (see photos). You can basically park wherever you want, I recommend the upper right corner of the meadow (that's where you'll have the most peace and quiet and the forge is quite far away. You're only allowed to park where the grass has been mown. The back part behind the stream is taboo! Unfortunately there are quite a lot of ticks this year, so check for ticks in the evening and protect yourself accordingly (long clothing, TBE vaccination if necessary, if you get bitten by a tick, watch the bite site because of Lyme disease) Caution: The meadow has some potholes and unexpected elevations. So look carefully where you're going or stay close to the road if you don't trust yourself/your vehicle to handle the terrain. Especially when it rains a lot it can be difficult to move around there. The meadow/the area is unsuitable for large (truck-like) mobile homes and other heavy trailers! But that's exactly what Vansite is all about: the little adventure on your doorstep beyond perfectly trimmed boxwood hedges and 2x3 meter plots.
