Hi, we've recently arrived back in northern Germany. Late in the evening, we decided to move from Bavaria back to my old hometown of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Here we live in a small community in a semi-detached house with a nice garden, and the Baltic Sea is a 45- to 60-minute drive in all directions (Darß, Rügen, Usedom). Many bike paths and the proximity to the Sound, where you can cool off, make life here enjoyable. Shopping facilities are available in Brandshagen (3 minutes away), as well as in Stralsund (15 minutes) and Greifswald (25 minutes). Water and electricity can be provided, and barbecues are permitted within "normal" limits. My wife is an occupational therapist, and I'm a self-employed front-end developer, so I'm usually on-site. While we love pretty much all kinds of animals, dogs are only allowed on a leash, as we keep an eye on our own cats and the neighbors' animals. Otherwise, we enjoy meeting new people and are excited about new experiences and people. However, since this is our first attempt at letting "strangers" get very close to us, quite quickly, it will take some time for us to get used to it.
