About the site
Camping in the Sauerland means a pure nature experience: From your pitch in Eslohe-Wenholthausen near the Sauerland-Höhenflug you can enjoy the view of a horse paddock and the forests and mountains of the Sauerland behind it. Listen to the murmuring of the stream next door and really switch off. Despite the peace and quiet, you don't have to do without the necessary infrastructure: We provide you with electricity on the camping meadow, which is in the sun all day long. Dispose of your rubbish and clean your dishes at our dishwashing station. Please note, however, that we do not have a disposal station for toilets. The nearest options are in Eslohe and Meschede. There is a bakery in the immediate vicinity of our campsite and in the next town of Eslohe (6 km away) there are various supermarkets where you can buy everything you need for your daily needs, from groceries to toothpaste. Our pitch in Wenholthausen is the ideal base for your hiking holiday or cycling in the Sauerland. If you want to combine camping between Schmallenberg and Winterberg with a hike on the Sauerland-Höhenflug or a bike tour on the SauerlandRadring, our campsite in Wenholthausen is the right place for you. From here you can easily reach the popular hiking and cycling routes through the Sauerland.

Is it possible to bring a dog? Well-behaved dogs (up to 60cm) are very welcome (3 euros per night without food). Please state when you make your enquiry or booking that you would like to bring your four-legged friend. It is not always possible to book dogs later. For a stress-free holiday, the dog should be used to staying alone in the camper van and not barking at night. Dogs must be kept on a leash in the house and on the entire property.

Wir wurden superfreundlich empfangen. Die Wiese liegt hinter dem Gasthaus und ist absolut idyllisch. Man schaut auf eine Pferdekoppel und hört einen Bach plätschern. Es ist wirklich schön. Im Gasthaus kann man Abendessen und nach Vorbestellung auch Frühstücken. Der Platz ist nicht nur für eine Nacht zu empfehlen.

Super netter Empfang, sehr freundliches Personal. Das Frühstück und auch das Essen waren sehr lecker. Sanitäranlagen waren sauber. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Der angebotene Stellplatz war nicht befahrbar und wir steckten fest. Hilfe wurde uns seitens der Fam. Seemer nicht angeboten, aber alle Camper auf dem Platz haben uns geholfen. Vielen Dank dafür, sowas gibt es nur unter uns! Wir bekamen aber sofort eine Platz - Alternative und die war sehr gut! Es ist alles da, was das Herz begehrt, außer eine Entleerungs-möglichkeit der Toilette. Das Frühstück im Gasthof ist MEGA!! Das Abendessen war nicht so toll. Es gab nur 4 Gerichte und alles war nicht so unseres. Für über 60 Euro für zwei Personen waren wir auch nicht wirklich satt. Aber nebenan gibt es eine gute Alternative. Einen Stern Abzug für die Kirche direkt nebenan. Die Glocken haben uns nachts den Schlaf geraubt und deshalb werden wir wohl nicht mehr wieder kommen.
