Welcome to our little cottage in Drensteinfurt! You can camp here with up to 6 people, children & dogs are welcome! You can enjoy our garden all to yourself. You have a new, large, private bathroom with shower 🚿 . And if you want, you can sweat in our barrel sauna. For your children (if you have children) there is a swing and a small sandpit. If you feel like having a fire in the evening, ask us about our fire bowl. You camp under fruit trees 🌳 🍎 or on our meadow with a view of our mill tower. It's idyllic here: there is an orchard 🌳 🌳 🌳, a vegetable garden 🌶 🍆 , our three goats 🐐 🐐 🐐 Odiloh, Azrael and Lavender and a cat 🐈, her name is Katinka. The smell of fresh hay accompanies you in summer. The highlight is the view of our listed mill tower and the sunsets from there - best with a crackling campfire 🔥. Depending on the season, you can pick tree and bush fruit from our fruit plants: apples, pears, cherries, plums, blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries, currants ... 🌺🌺🌺 Our principle: we don't like fixed rules and structures. There's little you HAVE to do, but there's a lot you CAN do here. Please respect our community and everything you find here. If there is something you would like to do differently, please talk to us - we do the same. FEEL FREE here in our little garden <3 🌺🌺🌺 The price stated is for two people including 4 KwH of electricity on the shore power plug per night. If you use more power, which no one has managed yet, we will pass it on accordingly. From the 3rd person onwards, each adult costs 10 euros extra and each child 7 euros per night. Children under 4 years of age do not cost anything. Dogs: We have a cat that likes to run through your garden. Therefore, you can only bring your dog if it is friendly towards cats and you can live with it always being on a leash on our property. There are two things here: on the one hand the PEACE of country life, on the other hand the SOUNDS of country life: We have a small tractor that helps us with our work, we mow the lawn and make hay in the summer, Lizs crows when he wants, the owls are nocturnal, and during the day you can hear the kestrels circling over our cottage from time to time. Now and then we also scurry through the picture and do something - but you should definitely not let that infect you :) Our mill is not in the real, real hinterland without any sounds of civilization. Most of the street noises, however, are filtered out by the farm buildings that lie between "your" garden and the road that runs about 100 meters in front of our farm. There is also a field that is cultivated with grain/corn seasonally. Activities: I have put together a little booklet for you with things worth seeing and experiencing that you can use to get inspiration. Here are a few first impressions: Several beautiful cycling and hiking routes run along our mill - either directly into the industrial culture or into the nature of the Münsterland. The entrance to the Werse cycle path is very close by. You can also start the 100 Castles Route from here. *** Swimming and hiking lakes can also be found in the area (20-35 km). Forests can be reached by bike. *** Canoeing and kayaking on the Werde or the Lippe are offered in the area (35 km). *** By car or train you can quickly get to Münster, Dortmund, Hamm or you can visit small, typical Münsterland towns. In my opinion, Münster in particular is worth a day trip. And Holland is not far away either. And of course the Ruhr area with its industrial culture. *** If you are looking for day trip destinations for your children, here are some tips: In Münster there is a wonderful all-weather zoo, a planetarium, the mill museum and the Aasee, where you can go pedal boating. In Hamm there is the Maxipark. *** Swimming pool, great sauna, indoor pool 10 km away - nice cycle path *** Shopping (groceries) 1 km away. Shopping streets in Drensteinfurt, Ahlen and Hamm 10 km away (nice cycle paths there). *** You can find numerous opportunities to eat regional and Mediterranean food in Ahlen, Münster and Hamm.
