Everything was okay, I'd love to come again!
I spontaneously had the idea to come here and don't regret a single second. I was very warm and loving to the 84-year-old father. He told me not to stand directly on the hillside because a big storm was coming. It was a very good tip, as the night confirmed. If your satnav directs you onto a small off-road path, it's better to drive through the town; it's the intended route. You can hear the motorway, but that's perfectly fine.
Fast communication and a beautiful spot in the countryside. Highly recommended!
A truly lovely spot for a stopover on the way south! While the proximity to the motorway means the noise level is a bit higher, the warm hospitality more than makes up for it: Francesco's parents gave us a wonderful welcome, showed us around, and let us choose our own spot. The charming town of Vicenza is about an hour's walk away.
We spent three nights at Francesco's. A highly recommended place. On a spacious, flat meadow, you can park your camper van wherever you want. It's also possible to park your camper van above the meadow, near the edge of the forest, but it has barriers and definitely requires chocks. Not recommended in the rain, however, due to the steep access. We were welcomed by Francesco's parents. They were very welcoming hosts. We were invited for coffee and cake, and they were very concerned about our well-being. We were a bit embarrassed that we hadn't brought a gift. A truly wonderful place to relax. Vicenza is easily accessible on foot and definitely worth a visit. There are also extensive bike tours; unfortunately, our bike was broken. Francesco's father wanted to help me fix it, but since we were at the end of our vacation, that was out of the question. We will definitely come back to visit Francesco's parents again; they are especially warm-hearted and helpful people. Thank you for everything. Janet & Werner
