Under the copper beech

About the site

In summer , the pitch is in the shade of a huge copper beech , directly on the Schmittenbach , in the middle of the village of Wald ZH. The pitch has a fire pit with a grill and a lounge sofa made from pallets. Electricity and fresh water are available. The small pool can be used in summer. Wald is a paradise for hikers and is picturesquely situated in the Zurich Highlands. The local mountain Bachtel with its tower offers a great all-round view of Zurich and Lake Zurich. The Atzmännig , Oberholz and Fischenthal ski areas are nearby. Atzmännig in particular also offers attractions in summer with a toboggan run and a rope park. In addition , the cities of Zurich and Rapperswil can be reached in 20 - 40 minutes. If you don't want to do this by van , you can also use the well-developed public transport network. In the forest itself there is an outdoor pool in the summer and an indoor pool in the winter , as well as various shops. There are also several fitness and wellness centers. Various restaurants in the lower to middle price ranges complete the offer. Our pitch is very centrally located and offers maximum privacy. We ourselves are cosmopolitan people who rent out the parking space primarily because we like to be in contact with people. By the way: your van could be where the 1910 army field kitchen is in the photos. :-)
