About the site
Pitch between meadows and fields with a view of the valley. Our farm is a family-run agricultural business on the outskirts of the Brothers Grimm town of Steinau an der Straße, located on the old Via Regia trade route. Reservoir, outdoor pool, stalactite cave, castle, Brothers Grimm Museum, old town, as well as an amusement park and climbing park are nearby.

There was also a very friendly welcome, a quiet pitch, electricity and a farm shop. Everything was great... highly recommended.

A very nice spot right next to the barn. The area is gravel and almost flat. If you want to stand completely upright, you can easily level it with wedges. Directly from the pitch, you have a fantastic view of the Kinzig Valley. In the immediate vicinity is the Kinzig Reservoir, which is ideal for exploring on a wonderful circular route. A bike ride to Bad Orb along the well-signposted R3 long-distance cycle route is also worthwhile. Frank is a fantastic host and is happy to share tips about the surrounding area. Another plus is the on-site farm shop, where you can buy all sorts of delicious home-grown items. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, the stay wasn't very pleasant. I had booked two days, but left after just one. I stood in front of the large barn, where the area is quite sloping and does not invite you to sit outside. Until about 2:30 a.m., teenagers drove back and forth in their cars and chatted loudly right in front of my camper. (Maybe there was a party at Frank's.) Based on this experience, I wouldn't book again, even though Frank is very nice and wasn't responsible for the noise.

A very nice place, especially with children 🤍 Plenty of space, very friendly hosts, and Steinau is easily accessible on foot or by bike. There's a lot to offer here, especially in spring and summer. We'll definitely be back. 🫶🏻 Many thanks to Frank and his family. ☺️
