Our Italian-German family farms 1.4 hectares of land in the picturesque Itria Valley (Apulia, Italy) near Ostuni, amidst centuries-old olive groves. Motorhomes longer than 7.5 meters are not permitted due to the narrow road. Please register in advance to reserve a parking space. From Ostuni towards Martina Franca, after approximately 4 km, shortly after the Contrada Fumarola sign, you will find a widening of the road on the left with a large red house and an abandoned well. Turn there and follow the road in front of the red house. After about 1 km, turn right onto a sloping sheep track with a mailbox and a permanently open gate. Follow this track until a right-hand bend to reach your destination. The final bend is tricky for motorhomes, but manageable with caution. Your GPS navigation system will usually only guide you as far as this bend. Since 2013, we have cultivated a forest garden and established bee colonies to promote biodiversity and support the local ecosystem. We offer guided tours of our forest garden to discover the flora and fauna that have developed here over the past 15 years. Over the years, we have planted approximately 150 fruit trees and shrubs (apricots, medlars, pears, apples, persimmons, cherries, figs, azaroles, pomegranates, feijoas, peaches, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, grapevines, plums, Canadian amelanchier, and strawberry trees), as well as over 1,000 aromatic plants (mainly rosemary, sage, lavender, oregano, and thyme) and legumes (Gleditsia triacanthos, Acacia saligna, Acacia dealbata, broom, and Judas tree). Particular attention has been paid to the production of pollen and nectar for bees. We also offer tarot readings and foot reflexology massage.
