"The Gaudun Mill" from €31.20 per night

We have recently started a permaculture project directly on the Via Podiensis, the French Way of St. James, near Montréal du Gers, in the southwest of France. We are converting our 300-year-old mill and the surrounding land into a permaculture space. A basic principle alongside Earth Care, People Care is Fair Share. That is why we are opening our house and the land to interested people who would like to visit a special type of accommodation on their pilgrimage, camping trip, cycling tour, etc. We offer various overnight accommodation options, meals (breakfast and dinner), tours of the site and a library, etc., to learn more about the great possibilities of permaculture. We would like to share our knowledge and the beauty of this little paradise with interested people. We have a campsite for max. 4 tents, a camper van site for max. 3 vehicles, and there will soon be a communal tent in which 4 to 5 people can stay overnight (in beds or on a sleeping mat and sleeping bag you bring with you). We also offer the possibility of staying overnight in the house, in a shared dormitory - Dortoire - for a maximum of 6 people. The mill is located in a wonderful wine-growing region, Gascony. Delicious red and white wines are produced here and of course Armagnac, much of it organic. The market in neighboring Eauze is diverse and varied and definitely worth a visit (always on Thursdays). Our small village - Montréal - looks back on centuries of history, which gives it its very special charm. The people here are very friendly and helpful French. If you have sore feet from hiking or pilgrimages, back pain or any other travel ailment, you are in good hands with us, because Thomas is an experienced homeopath, alternative practitioner and body therapist. Children are also very welcome. Dogs too. If you want to stay overnight with us, you contribute €12 per person and decide for yourself whether you want to contribute anything else and how much you want to contribute to the project. You can stay with us for a maximum of 2 nights. You are welcome to have dinner with us (14,-€) and breakfast (6,-€), optionally there are also lunch and snacks. (The kitchen is not available.)
