House rules for Hofen Sunset Views Campsite Welcome to Höfen! We are happy to share this beautiful place with you. So that all guests, we as hosts and our neighbors feel completely at ease, We ask you to comply with the following rules: 1. Peace and quiet & good neighborliness (No parties) * Quiet hours: Nighttime quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM. No one has to go to sleep, but please make sure Turn off the music and talk at a reasonable volume. * No parties: Our place is a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation. Parties, celebrations, and loud events are strictly prohibited. * Consideration: Please behave in a way that does not disturb other campers or the neighborhood. 2. Neighboring properties & privacy * Do not enter the neighboring meadow: The meadow bordering the property is our neighbor's hay meadow. Entering, driving on, or placing objects on this area is strictly prohibited. Please remain only on the designated parking areas and pathways on our property. 3. Litter & Wildlife (No waste disposal on site – Leave No Trace) * No waste disposal: No waste disposal service is offered on site. Please bring your own garbage bags and take all your waste (including deposit items, empties, and organic waste) with you when you leave. * No food scraps outdoors: Do not leave food, plates, barbecue trays or filled garbage bags uncovered outdoors. Careless disposal or leaving of food scraps quickly attracts the typical animals of the region, especially raccoons, foxes, martens, wild boars, and rats. 4. Campfire & Barbecue * Only at designated locations: Fires are only permitted in designated fire pits/fire bowls. * Beware of forest fire danger 38536 / District of Gifhorn During the summer months, our region often experiences a high risk of forest and brush fires. Therefore, always check the current warning level yourself BEFORE lighting a fire. In case of an increased danger level or an official fire ban, all open fires are prohibited. 👉 Official warnings & rules of the Gifhorn district * Safety: Never leave a fire unattended and extinguish it completely with water before going to bed or leaving the area. (The garden hose should reach the fire pit!) 5. Sanitary facilities, grey and black water * Discharging greywater or emptying chemical toilets on the property or in the adjacent area/ditch is strictly prohibited. Use is permitted only with your own self-contained systems or at official disposal stations. 6. Dogs & Pets * Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times on the entire property – out of consideration for the wildlife in the area, the neighboring property, and other guests. Please pick up after your dog immediately and take it with you in your own trash. 7. Arrival and Departure * Please always drive at walking speed on the access road and on the property.
