About the site
The old milking parlor is a relic from the GDR era, accessible via a paved path. It is located on the slope above the village of Friedebach. You can simply park on the paved area in front of the hall. Or find a corner on the edge of the forest or on the meadow on the 70,000 square meters. Perfect for an autonomous overnight stay. If the weather is bad and there is a free parking space in the milking parlor, you are welcome to use it. Barbecues, campfires, music... no problem. Friedebach is perfectly located for day trips. Whether to Jena, the Thuringian Sea or the Rennsteig. Or you can just walk straight away - to the Uhlstädter Heide where there is also an amazing nature project! It is a forest pasture project where 17 cattle (aurochs) live on 577 hectares.

Great, quiet spot. Important: No internet or GPS available. But pure nature. Beautiful forest and fantastic views. Covered seating and a sheltered shelter are available. Thank you for this great spot.
