About the site
We are currently realizing our dream in the middle of nature in central Portugal and would like to share this beautiful piece of earth with you. If you are looking for a few quiet days in nature, this is the right place for you. Our property offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, the Rio Zêzere and, at night, when the sky is clear, a breathtaking starry sky. If you ever get bored here and need more action, the region is also ideal for climbing, bouldering, hiking, fishing at the lake or a quad bike trip. Of course, you can also visit a restaurant or browse the weekly market in the nearby village. We offer a parking space for vans/small campers and tent pitches with a great view over the Rio Zêzere. The tent pitches are located on the lower terraces. This means that a small descent is necessary. Our property has its own spring from which smaller water tanks could also be filled. After a short descent, you can also simply jump into the lake for a refreshing dip, which is of course particularly valuable in the warmer months (sturdy shoes are recommended). PLEASE NOTE: We share our garden with you and are therefore not an ordinary campsite. Our property is natural. There are natural stone steps without railings and garden terraces without barriers. Entering our property is therefore at your own risk. We are also located a little off the beaten track on a hill and do not have a normal tarmac road (see pictures). We therefore only recommend vehicles up to 6m. So far, however, everything from a lowered SLK to a 7m Ducato with a bike rack has made it up the hill 😉. We have a dog and occasionally our neighbors' dogs come by and say hello

The grounds are stunningly beautiful. Fabienne and Patrick are super friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back. P.S.: If you want to go swimming or walk around the lake, be sure to wear sturdy shoes.

We spent two wonderful days with Fabienne and Patrick. Perched on the spacious plateau high above the dammed Rio Zezère, we breathed in the scent of eucalyptus and enjoyed the incredible peace and quiet. The descent to the water was easy and gave us a vivid insight into what the two have already accomplished and what they've wrought on the property! Hats off to their courage and achievement! There was always time for a little chat (as we Northerners say) and we left this place with the firm intention of coming back because we are just too curious to see what happens next.

Thanks to Patrick and Fabienne for the two nights. The van site is absolutely stunning, situated on a hillside with several terraces. The view of the lake is breathtaking. The two of them put a lot of work and love into it! Bonus: I wasn't feeling well that day, and Patrick kindly picked me up something from the pharmacy! Thanks again! <3

Stunning - a really very special place. I can't emphasise enough how spectacular this spot is - the view, the river, and Patrick and Fabienne are such lovely chilled people. Worked remotely here for a week and if we weren't heading to a festival we'd have extended our stay (forever!!?!?) Thanks so much to you both for having us. Until next time!
