Idyllic van parking space for nature lovers! A beautiful country house property awaits you , surrounded by historic monastery buildings , small , peaceful and quiet sheep and pure nature. Trostadt is a small village with about 12 inhabitants. Tranquility is guaranteed here. In the middle of the village is our old forester's lodge with the associated historic monastery buildings. Here you dive into a bath full of relaxation and historical past. Sanitary facilities: You can access these at any time using a key box (code will be communicated when booking). The shower is functional and takes about 10-15 minutes to heat up the water , but then the water is nice and warm. To get to the toilets you have to pass between two buildings and carefully unhook the fence on one side if it is not already open. Electricity: There is a small window in the masonry on the pitch , in which there is a cable drum with a 230V connection. You have to bring extra connections with you. Animals: We have small sheep on the premises. Please don't feed or chase , but please admire :) We look forward to your inquiries and your visit!

Cancellation policy
- If canceled 72 hours or more prior to arrival, 80% of the nightly rate will be refunded by the supplier.
- If you cancel 24 hours before arrival, 50% of the overnight stay will be refunded by the provider.
- If canceled on the day of arrival, 0% of the accommodation amount will be refunded by the provider.

Very great location in incredibly beautiful surroundings. Everything you need is there and clean. In addition, a nice contact, we were perfectly provided with all the information before arrival.

A special place in a special environment. We stayed 2 nights (roof tent) and nothing was missing. The walls of the monastery provide shade in the afternoon and in the morning you can have breakfast in the morning sun. Matty's father showed us around the property and told us a lot about it. Very interesting, especially if you are (like us) interested in old buildings. Shower and toilets in the monastery building are super clean! All in all, two very nice days and we'd love to come back! PS: Next time we'll bring bikes with us, because you also have great bike routes!

We rode along the Werra with our bikes and tent and were so happy to have found this beautiful place. The place is beautifully idyllic and very quiet, we were happy with the shower and toilet and in the evening we got a delicious beer in the neighboring inn. The hosts were also there during the day and we had some nice conversations. We can highly recommend this place and would sleep there again at any time.

This is a beautiful piece of earth. A really special and wonderful place to camp. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the starry sky here. Toilet and shower are simple and very clean. That's all you need. Matty and his family are very warm and open hosts. They even organized dinner for us in the evening. Just great! Thanks to Matty and his family for everything and we will definitely be back!

Worth a visit in every way! Uncomplicated, thoughtful, super friendly and open-minded. Matty's parents took us around the entire property, showing us around and telling us all about this beautiful place and their use of the property. We stood right next to the sheep. It was totally quiet and super comfortable! We'll be back :-) Thank you!

Even the first contact with Matty was great - totally friendly and relaxed! We had the parking space next to the former monastery and the sheep all to ourselves - a dream. :) The toilets including the shower are close by and were very clean! You can hike nearby, cycle along the Werratal cycle path or relax at the bathing lake. We'd love to come back!

Really a great idyllic pitch! The family is very nice and hospitable. Even the sheep gave us a warm welcome! ;-) We were well informed in advance and during our stay about the pitch and everything we need to know about it. Thank you for the fire bowl! This wonderful place of tranquility in the middle of nature, surrounded by the fantastically beautiful old walls of the former monastery was exactly what we needed for the perfect end to our vacation. Great area in Thuringia right on the Werra on the bike path. Countless hiking trails run through the forests. We grilled trout from the neighboring fish farm (gas grill). Absolutely clean toilets and shower. Thank you for the nice weekend with you!

Warm hospitality meets grandiose ambience in Troststadt. Thank you very much for the great time with you! All members of the family are very courteous and helpful. We felt welcome right away and started talking straight away. One day we hiked the Werra-Burgen-Steig and the other day we were able to explore the area on the Werratal cycle path. Thank you for the campfire too!

Great stay 👍🏼 Our stay in Trostadt was very nice. The location is perfect - very quiet, so you can really enjoy the peace and nature. Nevertheless, the nearest supermarkets are only a few kilometers away. The area is really beautiful, you can go hiking, walking or cycling. Great for all nature lovers! We didn't miss anything in terms of equipment, everything was there - so it was perfect all around. The hosts are very friendly and welcome you very warmly. All in all it was an incredibly great stay. We are sad that the time is already over but will definitely come back. We can definitely recommend a parking space in Trostadt to everyone. Thank you for everything 👍🏼
