About the site
A very beautiful campsite with panoramic views of the Hessian Rhön Mountains (Wasserkuppe, Milseburg, Kreuzberg, and the Hessian Kegelspiel). On site, you can explore a traditional Hessian half-timbered village with a baroque church. Or you can climb the Stoppelsberg with its medieval Hauneck Castle ruins, offering panoramic views of the Knüll, Vogelsberg, and Rhön mountains. The mystical Long Stones invite you to take a short hike into the past. Guided tours can be booked upon request. About the campsite: A campsite with a large terrace is located on a three-sided courtyard dating back to the 18th century. Seating and a fire pit are available.

We have been here 3 times now and it was great ❣️ We grilled, celebrated, and shared in our father's birthday; this family and the place are simply fantastic. The lovely birthday guests were all very nice and sweet, thank you again ❤️ We will come back next year 🥰

We had a lovely stay on the property; Thomas was a great host and provided us with hiking maps, etc. It was very quiet, there was a great view, and the cows in the adjacent pasture were really cute! Thank you for your hospitality :)

Very friendly hosts on a meadow with a fantastic view! Fall asleep and wake up to birdsong. Perfect overnight spot on the way south. Thank you, the Schmidt family, for your hospitality and interesting insights into the village's history. We'd love to come back!

We were back here the following weekend 🙂 What can I say? It couldn't be better! We had another wonderful few days, barbecued with our lovely family, and had a lot of fun. It is already clear that we will come back ❣️
