About the site
A beautiful campsite with panoramic views of the Hessian Rhön region (Wasserkuppe, Milseburg, Kreuzberg, Hessian Kegelspiel). Nearby, you can explore a traditional Hessian half-timbered village with a Baroque church. Alternatively, you can climb Stoppelsberg with its medieval Hauneck castle ruins, offering panoramic views of the Knüll, Vogelsberg, and Rhön mountains. The mystical Lange Steine (Long Stones) invite you to take a short hike into the past. Guided tours can be booked upon request. To the parking space: Parking space with a large terrace on an 18th-century three-sided farmstead. Seating and a fire pit are available.

We have been here 3 times now and it was great ❣️ We grilled, celebrated, and shared in our father's birthday; this family and the place are simply fantastic. The lovely birthday guests were all very nice and sweet, thank you again ❤️ We will come back next year 🥰
We had a lovely stay on the property; Thomas was a great host and provided us with hiking maps, etc. It was very quiet, there was a great view, and the cows in the adjacent pasture were really cute! Thank you for your hospitality :)
We spent a wonderful weekend with Thomas and his family, one we won't soon forget. The welcome was warm and we felt completely at ease. The view of the Wasserkuppe mountain was magnificent, and the peace and quiet were perfect for relaxing. Walks with the dogs were wonderful. We will definitely be back. Thanks again for everything. Very friendly hosts on a meadow with a fantastic view! Fall asleep and wake up to birdsong. Perfect overnight spot on the way south. Thank you, the Schmidt family, for your hospitality and interesting insights into the village's history. We'd love to come back!
