About the site
Good morning! Our country house is located on an old farmstead in the village of Fresenburg in the beautiful Emsland region, with a large meadow directly behind it. We live outside the village in a small farming community with a few houses. You can find a nice spot on our meadow, it is fenced in and there are old oak trees there. There is plenty of space as we only offer 3 pitches. During the day, the neighbour's cows look over the fence. The historic Fresenburg Chapel is just 50 metres away and is a great place to take a short break. In just a minute you'll be in the middle of nowhere on country paths, in the forest or of course on the Ems. Hiking, walking and cycling are all great options. The Emsland is the cycling region par excellence with many great routes, sights and rest areas! The Ems is omnipresent, after a few hundred meters you are already at the beautiful old Ems arm, which invites you to linger, have a picnic or even go fishing. The nearest town with a supermarket etc. is about 3 kilometers away. In the surrounding area: Schloss Dankern leisure centre (16 km), Meyer Werft (25 km), Clemenswerth Castle (15 km), North Sea (100 km), various indoor swimming pools, heated outdoor pool (3 km), bathing area on the Ems (1.5 km) and much more

- There is active farming going on here, please don't get upset if there is a smell or tractors crossing, dogs are welcome to be kept on a leash. - Electricity: €3/night. Air conditioning or heating are charged separately. - Not on the meadow, but only 50m away is a good public toilet. - Our children are playing in the garden, you have to bear it ;-)

A super beautiful place in a wonderful location. As a family, we found it ideal; there were plenty of opportunities to play, and the highlight, of course, was the cowsheds in the village. Christoph is a super nice host and we can highly recommend this place.
We absolutely loved to stay with Christoph and his family. His facilities and hospitality are really worth a visit. We rented the bikes and had a beautiful trip along the Ems. Great with kids.
