About the site
Welcome to the Grünenplan Forestry Office - Welcome to the Lower Saxony State Forests. With our selected pitches, we want to make a further contribution to the recreational function of the forest and create a legal variant of camping in the middle of nature / directly by / in the forest. North of Grünenplan, in the middle of the forest, a popular starting point and gravel pitch for forest and nature lovers awaits you. The hiking map on site will help you find your way and shows you many hiking options, such as the well-known Hilskammweg. Pure nature. Make your stay a real experience. Whether you are a nature lover or an adventurer: there are no limits to your options. Like all of our pitches, this one is also aimed at self-sufficient campers. Departure is normally at 10:00 a.m. If you are staying two nights, you can of course stay. Another small tip: Our forests are popular with many people, so other forest visitors can occasionally park for a while on our remote parking spaces. Don't be surprised, some of the forest paths are occasionally used for forestry. Platz eignet sich nur bei Trockenheit. Bei mir war es sehr schlammig und ich bin weiter gefahren.

Leider ist für niemanden ersichtlich, dass hier erlaubt gecampt wird. Spaziergänge schauen kritisch. Der Platz steht auch schon bei Park4night als kostenlos drin. Unter Vansiteplätzen verstehe ich etwas anderes, als einen Wanderparkplatz. Eine abgesteckte Ecke mit Hinweis wäre gut. Der Parkplatz war um 18.30 noch recht voll, schwierig etwas zu finden. Von der Grundidee gut. Wir würden nicht nochmal buchen. Es fühlt sich zu sehr nach wildcampen/verboten an.

Vorneweg: Die vier Punkte gebe ich, weil hier ein großer Waldeigentümer seine Plätze zur Buchung anbietet. Das darf es gerne öfter geben! Zum Platz: Wie andere schon geschrieben haben, ist es ein einfacher Wanderparkplatz. Leider sehr nah an einer Straße, die auch die Nacht am Wochenende hindurch gut befahren war. Also nicht wirklich leise. Außerdem warnte mich ein freundlicher Forstmitarbeiter, dass es wohl ab und zu zu Konflikten mit ... besorgten Bürgern kommt, die nichts von dem Arrangement wissen.

Mitten im Wald steht man hier auf einem normalen Waldparkplatz. Die Autos auf der Straße, die hier angrenzt, sind zwar tagsüber zu hören, aber nachts gibt es keinen Verkehr. Toll ist es gerade mit Hund, da verschiedene Wege direkt vom Parkplatz wegführen. Was ich mir wünschen würde, wäre ein Schild (oder eine Markierung), das einem auf dem Parkplatz das Gefühl gibt, "richtig" und "offiziell" zu stehen. Denn im Gespräch mit anderen Hundebesitzern stellte sich heraus, dass auch die Einheimischen hier denken, dass man sich "halt einfach so" dort mit seinem Camper hingestellt hat. So hat es eben weiterhin ein wenig den Touch des Wildcampens.
