## Motorhome pitch at Herregården Hindsels Our motorhome site is situated in a quiet, natural setting on a historic, working estate on the Thyholm peninsula in Northwest Jutland. The Limfjord is just a few meters away, and around the farm you'll find fields, old trees, small woodlands, wetlands, and wide open spaces. The pitches are nestled behind a hedge, close to the farm buildings. From there, you have views across fields, green spaces, and trees. The fjord and pond are just a two-minute walk away. The site is simple, rural, and generally quiet (depending on the farm) – ideal if you want to experience nature, relaxation, and authentic life on a Danish estate. As we are an active farm, you may hear machinery, farm traffic, or work in the fields. Depending on the wind direction and time of year, there may also be smells from the pig farming or flies. It is usually very quiet, especially in the evenings and at night. ## Parking spaces and facilities The pitches are suitable for motorhomes, caravans and tents. Electricity is included in the overnight price. In a former stable building you will find basic sanitary facilities with a shower, toilet and fresh water. The furnishings are rustic and simple, but clean and functional. Accommodation costs 200 DKK per night per unit, including electricity. Fresh water, shower, and toilet use cost an additional 40 DKK per person per night. There is also a holiday apartment on the premises if you are traveling with friends or family who do not want to stay in the camper van. ## Nature right on your doorstep The Limfjord is just a few meters from the campsite. The shallow water is ideal for swimming, paddling, and water sports. You can sit by the fjord, watch sunsets, take a walk, or use the fire pit by prior arrangement. Paths lead around the farm through the forest, along the fjord, and across fields. With a bit of luck, you can observe various bird species, wildlife, and even seals in the area. ## Activities on Hindsels You can rent SUP boards, a rowboat, or bicycles. The Limfjord is particularly suitable for relaxing trips on the water in calm weather. Cycling and mountain biking are also possible on the country lanes and in the surrounding area. For children there is a trampoline, swings, football facilities and plenty of space to play and explore. We offer guided tours of the estate upon request. During these tours, you will learn more about the history of Herregården Hindsels, agriculture, and the development of the farm into an experience and holiday destination. ## Dogs Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times on the premises. Cats live on the farm, and there are also wild animals, children playing, and farm traffic. ## Excursions in the surrounding area Herregården Hindsels is a good starting point for excursions to Thyholm, around the Limfjord and to the Danish west coast. In the surrounding area you'll find small villages, fjord landscapes, quiet country roads, galleries, farm shops, and local producers. The SMK Thy art museum and the towns of Struer, Holstebro, Skive, and Thisted are also easily accessible by car. Thy National Park and the North Sea coast are also ideal for a day trip. There you'll find dunes, heathland, forests, lakes, beaches, and the rugged North Sea. ## A place to switch off Our pitch is suitable for you if you are not looking for a large campsite with many facilities, but rather peace, nature and a personal atmosphere. You'll be staying on a historic estate, just steps from the Limfjord. Here you can read, take walks, cycle, swim, and enjoy the peaceful country life. Herregården Hindsels is simultaneously our home, a working farm, and a place in transition. Here, you'll not only experience the beautiful landscape but also gain an authentic insight into life on a Danish estate.
