About the site
If you want to be close to nature, you have come to the right place! In the Barker Heide/Segeberger Forst, you can park your camper on our small meadow and enjoy the evening sun, watch roe deer and fallow deer, and listen to the tawny owl at night. Motorhomes up to 6.50m are no problem. From 6.50-7.50m, you'd probably have to maneuver a bit to get around the corner and through the gate. You can enjoy wonderful hikes or bike rides in the Barker Heide and the Segeberg Forest. You are also welcome to bring two horses with you, by arrangement. We have a wonderful riding area right outside. Just a few kilometers away flow the Osterau and Trave rivers, where you can enjoy wonderful kayak/canoe tours. For a refreshing swim, you can take a dip in one of the several lakes nearby, just a few minutes away by car. The Eekholt Wildlife Park is about 15 minutes away, and in summer Karl May rocks in Bad Segeberg. There is a barefoot park in the neighboring village and a small restaurant/café in our village where you can also get a delicious breakfast 🩷
