We welcome you to our idyllically situated campsite "Railway meets Countryside Romance". Do you love admiring trains? Watching sheep or simply enjoying stunning sunsets? Admiring horses galloping carefree across the paddock? Fresh eggs from the henhouse for breakfast? Listening to the tractor in the field, or simply sitting back and enjoying the exciting trains between Treuchtlingen and Gunzenhausen? Then you've come to the right place! Do you have children on board? We'd love to have them! Our large, natural meadow is perfect for romping, playing, and exploring. From Easter onwards, you'll find sheep, a tomcat, quail, as well as some chickens and rabbits on our property. Horses are kept in their paddock adjacent to the property. Our pitch is located behind our farm, offering wonderful views and fantastic evening sun. From approximately April to November, you can park right next to the inhabited sheep pasture. Would you prefer to be near the railway line or the wheat fields? No problem, we'd be happy to help you choose. You'll find us in the beautiful Franconian Lake District, about 50km southwest of Nuremberg/Middle Franconia, in the small village of Aha, right next to the charming town of Gunzenhausen. From here, you can easily explore the Altmühlsee, the Kleiner and Großer Brombachsee, or the Rothsee and Igelsbachsee. The paths here are perfect for extended bike tours or just a short stroll. In summer, the lakes offer a welcome respite from the heat. Distance to the cycle path directly along the Altmühl river: 300 meters Distance to Lake Altmühl: 4km Distance to Kleiner Brombachsee: 10km Distance to large Brombachsee lake: 15km Distance to Gunzenhausen: 1 km (for groceries, etc.) The towns of Weißenburg, Treuchtlingen and Ansbach also invite you to linger and stroll (between 15-25 km) Any vehicle, regardless of size, is welcome to park here. Gas grilling is also perfectly fine. However, since we are located in a very rural area, we kindly ask that you refrain from using charcoal. We have a camping toilet available for you to use for a small fee. Our tent provides privacy from onlookers! A fully stocked refrigerator is now available for you. You'll find cold drinks, fresh eggs, a few treats, and ice cream for a quick refreshment. Payment is simple and based on the honor system. The pitch includes space for 4 people and 1 vehicle!
