About the site
The Cascina Verne farmhouse is located in a completely renovated 18th-century monastery, surrounded by greenery in the countryside near the small town of Carmagnola, in the province of Turin, not far from the UNESCO-listed wine region of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato. It's a perfect starting point for discovering the cultural richness and natural beauty of this land, as well as relaxing and enjoying the delicious regional food and wine. Our pitch is surrounded by beautiful trees, offering the perfect relaxation you're looking for. However, it's very close to our farmhouse, where you'll also find many amenities: restrooms, Wi-Fi, refrigerator, washing machine, tourist information, and much more. Our guests can enjoy hot showers. Naturism is permitted in a clearly restricted area. For nature lovers, our farmhouse offers the perfect combination of comfort and green spaces, a beautiful park with children's playground, and traditional Italian cuisine. Your pets are also welcome. A golf course, bike paths, nature trails, and water parks are all nearby. As our guests journey through the lands once ruled by the Savoy family, they can enjoy both the architecture and traditions of this region. We are happy to recommend several hiking trails where visitors can discover and appreciate the local historical and artistic attractions (such as royal castles and abbeys).

A nice parking space
Unfortunately, the actual setting doesn't match the description. While the farm is indeed in a wonderfully secluded location, the renovated area is separated and rented out as an event venue. I was there on the weekend, so there was constant loud music from 6 pm to 3 am. There's only a power outlet at the house, so the large grounds are of no use to you, as the sanitary facilities are located there as well. The second star is only given because the host is genuinely very friendly and helpful. I think it can definitely be better if you come during the week and don't need electricity.
Great spot in the middle of the forest, big enough for maneuvering. The access is a bit bumpy, but easy to manage with a 6 m van. The host is super friendly and provided us with all the necessary information. We'd love to come back again.
