Welcome to Glaserhorst! Just an hour from Hamburg, you'll find us at the end of a forest path. You'll quickly experience a sense of idyllic seclusion. We offer you a private pitch in our old orchard, which we are gradually reforesting, surrounded by forests and meadows in beautiful Mecklenburg. As soon as the fruit is ripe, you'll be welcome to help yourself to breakfast. You can set off directly from our farm and enjoy a walk through nature for about two hours. We recommend bringing a picnic basket and simply relaxing by the Sude River. By bike, you can reach Hagenow's old town in just a few minutes. Hagenow is a former farming town with meticulously restored half-timbered houses, a church, and a museum. Here you'll find numerous supermarket chains, weekly markets, a butcher shop, and several bakeries. A bike tour is a great way to explore the surrounding village churches, visit the former Cistercian nunnery and the famous Schaalsee in Zarrentin, or take a dip in Lake Dümmer after cycling through one of the most beautiful avenues. By train you can reach Schwerin in about 20 minutes, with the Mecklenburg State Theatre, its fairytale castle and the State Museum as well as the unique ensemble of castle, park and church of Ludwigslust. In the surrounding area there is also a snow fun park where you can ski or snowboard 356 days a year, a water ski facility and a sports airfield. Water, trash disposal, seating, a fire pit, and a grill are available. Fires are only permitted when there is no wildfire warning. You are also welcome to jump into our outdoor shower.
