About the site
In the hot summer of 2018, the Bochmann organic farmers had to sell their dairy cattle and have since been providing very simple overnight accommodation for hikers and pilgrims. Students from the Schneeberg Faculty of Applied Arts at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau have now come to their aid and created mobile sleeping cells. "Very Tiny Houses" were created in barrels, or from a used trampoline or in the form of a wheelbarrow. They also designed an ecological kitchen station and furniture for sitting together at night with a beer. The trick is: you find your spot on a large meadow and roll your bed there. We run a farm with organic horse husbandry as a boarding facility. The Saxon Way of St. James runs through our farm. Pilgrims collect their stamp here and continue towards Santiago de Compostela.

War eine ganz tolle Erfahrung, der Gastgeber war sehr hilfsbereit, hat mir alles gezeigt, wo ich mein Handy laden kann, wo und wie ich mir heißes Wasser für z.B. nen Kaffee, machen kann; und erklärt, wie die Toilette beim Fass funktioniert (ich bin lieber auf die Toilette im Haus gegangen, wo es dann auch die Möglichkeit zu duschen gibt) und wie es überhaupt zu dem ganzen Projekt gekommen ist, sehr interessant. Wir hatten eine sehr gute Unterhaltung und eine kleine Brotzeit gab es für mich auch noch, wirklich toller und herzlicher Empfang. Ich habe einen völlig entschleunigten Abend verbracht, am Tisch beim Fass sitzend, den Abendhimmel und die Landschaft genießend. Ich habe dann sehr gut geschlafen, dass Fass ist geräumig, die Matraze war mir ein bißchen zu hart und morgens um 6:15 Uhr musste ich mich "wenden", da mir die Sonne voll ins Gesicht geschienen hat. (Der Gastgeber hat gemeint, da würde er noch Rollos o.ä. montieren.) Das Aufstehen war gigantisch, nebenan waren schon die Pferde auf der Weide und die haben mich alle angeschaut, als ich da aus meinem Fass gekrabbelt bin. Ich kann´s nur empfehlen und das nächste Mal würde ich die Schubkarre als Schlafplatz aussuchen. Bert herzlichen Dank und alles Gute!
