The campsite is located at the foot of Manhartsberg, on the border between the Weinviertel and Waldviertel regions, near the Thayatal National Park. The surrounding area offers beautiful excursion destinations such as the Retz Windmill, the famous Retz Adventure Cellar, or the Thayatal National Park with Hardegg Castle and the attractive new suspension bridge connecting Austria with the Czech Republic. There are six different beautiful hiking trails in the Thayatal National Park. Furthermore, many bike paths are well-marked (e.g., at the Radlerrast).
