About the site
A very beautiful campsite with panoramic views of the Hessian Rhön Mountains (Wasserkuppe, Milseburg, Kreuzberg, and the Hessian Kegelspiel). On site, you can explore a traditional Hessian half-timbered village with a baroque church. Or you can climb the Stoppelsberg with its medieval Hauneck Castle ruins, offering panoramic views of the Knüll, Vogelsberg, and Rhön Mountains. The mystical Lange Steine (Long Stones) invite you to take a short hike into the past. Guided tours can be booked upon request. To the parking space: Pitch with a large terrace on a three-sided courtyard dating back to the 18th century. Seating and a fire pit are available.

Und wieder hatte ich ein glückliches Händchen: ein netter Empfang, tolle Lage, viel Platz, eine Burgruine und interessante Lange Steine am Wanderweg. Thomas hat umfangreiches Informationsmaterial für seine Gäste und wenn jemand noch mehr wissen möchte, Antworten auf viele Fragen. Wenn ich wieder in dieser Gegend bin, mache ich hier wieder Halt.

Sehr nette Gastgeber auf einer Wiese mit fantastischem Weitblick! Einschlafen und Aufwachen mit Vogelgezwitscher. Perfekter Übernachtungsplatz auf dem Weg nach Süden. Vielen Dank, Fam. Schmidt für die Gastfreundschaft und interessante Einblicke in die Dorfgeschichte. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir sind sehr freundlich begrüßt worden von Thomas und haben auch gleich Kartenmaterial aus der Gegend bekommen. Super Sache, so haben wir einen tolle Radtour gefunden. Der Platz ist sehr schön, Natur wo man hinschaut. Ruhe und Entspannung garantiert. Thomas hat hier viel Liebe reingesteckt. Alles sehr gepflegt und liebevoll hergerichtet. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!
