About the site
The unpaved parking space is located on our separate garden plot (meadow) away from the house at the end of a dead end road in the middle of fields and meadows. On the property we have all kinds of toys for the little ones (trampoline, tire swing, climbing opportunities in the trees) and adults (archery target, sauna for an additional charge), all of which can be used - by arrangement. The toilet and shower can be used in our family bathroom, which is located directly in the entrance to the house, so that you don't have to go through the whole house and we don't get in each other's way 😇 You can reach the Wiehen Mountains on foot, long walks and bike tours are excellent here. The Hunte flows a little below the property and is a nice way to cool down for tired human and dog legs. Our village with all the things you need for everyday life is 3 km away. If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet for one or more nights, this is the right place for you! The only drawback: the lawn is a bit sloping, but we have ramps for everyone who wants to stand 100% straight 😇

Such a wonderful and friendly welcome and stay that we had cannot be captured in one review. We would definitely love to come back! The location is great, in the middle of nature between fields, forests, and rivers, ideal for walks, even with dogs. The parking space is a bit away from the house and you don't notice much of it - unless you want to. There's so much for children to discover: a straw castle, trampoline, slackline, soccer balls, and a chicken that keeps coming back for a visit. We were able to help feed the chickens (and chicks), and the children played with Mareike's children in the playroom. In addition to a refrigerator and electricity, we were also offered to bring some shopping—simply very hospitable—and we had a lovely chat. Highly recommended with a good mix of peace and family connection.

It's with a heavy heart that we have to pack up our tents again today after a short trip here. A truly beautiful place, surrounded by nature, far from traffic noise and other everyday sounds. Deer, rabbits, foxes, and birds... are the ones who rule the roar here. 😊 Mareike and her family are so warm and hospitable. Thank you! If we come back to this area, you will be our priority. My dogs and I had a wonderful time.

An incredibly wonderful place with so much to discover, even for children. We received a very warm welcome and felt completely at home. Whenever we had any problems, help was immediately organized. This was our first booking with VanSite, and it went really well. Even during the booking process, we had excellent communication with Mareike, who gave us excellent instructions beforehand. The site is a tree-lined meadow with free-standing pitches. The children of fellow campers enjoyed the slackline between the trees and especially the giant, in-ground trampoline. There's really nothing going on in the village, but it's a quick trip to Buer. Here you can shop and enjoy delicious burgers, among other things. The dinosaur tracks aren't far away, and a trip to Bad Essen is definitely worth it. Mareike and Tonio are welcoming hosts. We were even invited to a campfire and barbecue. This makes up for the somewhat simple facilities of the place. If you're not looking for star-lit camping, but rather peace and quiet under a starry sky, this is the place for you.
