About the site
The campsite is located in the heart of the Retz wine region, overlooking the windmill and Manhartsberg. A barbecue and campfire area is available. If you need firewood, please just let us know. We will be happy to provide a crate of wood. Our village of Obermarkersdorf is home to several top winemakers, including the Franz Josef Wirtshaus and the Heurige Fam. Puhr, which offer a variety of tastings and festive events, as well as cellar tours. There is a cyclist's rest stop, a 24-hour drinks bar, and a sports facility, a riding stable, a playground, a forest pool, and an ATM nearby. There are many animals to observe, including sheep, goats, ducks, horses, and more. The surrounding area offers beautiful excursion destinations, hiking and biking trails. Further information can be found at Retzerland, Windmill, or Thayatal National Park. The campsite is located at the foot of the Manhartsberg, on the border between the Weinviertel and Waldviertel regions, near the Thayatal National Park.
