About the site
The site is a meadow right next to a mountain stream, with a barbecue hut and fire pit! It is far enough away from the road that the 6:00 rush hour traffic can hardly be heard and does not wake the campers from their sleep! There are tall deciduous trees all around the site, which provide pleasant shade. The mountain stream 'Wilde Gera' provides further cooling, which lets a refreshing breeze blow over the site! You can go on short walks or hikes. Enjoy nature, eat real country eggs, collect herbs or try goat's milk. If you wish, there are fresh rolls every day, even on Sundays! Bus and train are close by, and there are shops in the town 2 km away. When you arrive, just park and I will come to you, as I am always there. The parking rules are posted in the barbecue hut! Free access via a meadow path with a small sign on the road!

The place was still in hibernation, but nice and cozy. Friendly host. Booking at short notice via the VanSite app was problem-free.

A clean, quaint campsite located in beautiful countryside. And... Ecki is a super friendly host. He even offered fresh eggs and rolls. We highly recommend this place.

For fans of alternative campsites – we found a quaint spot by the rushing Wilde Gera River with Ecki, a bon vivant with his dog, goat, and happy chickens – there were fresh eggs in the morning after a peaceful night :-) Super nice host – thank you very much!
