“The start-up Vansite wants to list a few dozen pitch providers on one website. ‘We have approached holiday farms, airfields, old farmsteads and agricultural businesses,’ says founder Sebastian Siegbert.”

Campers are looking for exactly what you have
More motorhomes are on the road than ever before. They are looking for exactly what you have: quiet, nature and a host who says welcome.
1,700+ pitches in nine countries already welcome VanSite guests – with more than 100,000 nights booked so far
Over 90 % of guests come from Germany, Austria and Switzerland – self-sufficient campers in motorhomes, vans or tents
High season from May to October, with weekends and school holidays leading the way
Many guests travel with the VanSite annual pass and actively search for pitches in the network. You get paid as usual.
What it pays: Most pitches are priced between €10 and €25 per night. Up to €15 you keep the full amount – the 7 % service fee only applies above that.

No risk, no fixed costs
Creating and running a listing costs nothing. Only when a booking is completed does VanSite keep a 7 % service fee – and only on nightly prices above €15.
What do you need? Less than you think
A level area with room for one to three vehicles or tents – that's all it takes. Electricity, water and toilets are not required: most guests travel self-sufficiently in motorhomes or vans.
Suitable, for example:
the farmyard or a meadow on the farm
the edge of a forest or a lakeshore
a large garden with some distance from the house
the grounds of a vineyard, mill or farm shop
If you can offer something extra – firewood, fresh eggs, a sauna or a rowing boat – guests will appreciate it, and you can sell it as an add-on in your listing.
Hosts from Lapland to Andalusia
More than 1,700 pitches in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark and Norway already welcome VanSite guests: farms, vineyards, old mills, meadows by the water. Most of them without electricity or sanitary facilities – and booked nonetheless.
Example: the most-booked pitch in Sweden – a meadow next to an old vicarage with no electricity and no toilet – has received more than 150 bookings since 2023.

Frequently asked questions
In most countries, yes – on a small scale. Rules differ from country to country and often from municipality to municipality: hosting one to three vehicles without facilities is frequently possible without a permit, while service buildings, toilets or a larger number of pitches usually turn your land into a campsite that needs approval. Protected areas and shorelines often have extra restrictions.
Check with your local planning or building authority before you start. We are happy to share what other hosts have learned, but we cannot replace that advice.
An open area with a view of nature and room for one to three vehicles or tents.
Many of our guests travel self-sufficiently, so electricity, water or sanitary facilities are not required. The closer to nature, the less equipment you need. If you want to offer something extra, campers will of course appreciate it.
Nothing – signing up, listing and advice from our team are free. Only when a booking is completed does VanSite keep a 7 % service fee – and only on nightly prices above €15.
