Terms of Use for the VanSite Points System

1. General

The VanSite points system is a voluntary loyalty program offered by VanSite UG (haftungsbeschränkt). It rewards active users for certain activities on the platform with points that can be redeemed for vouchers or other rewards. Participation in the points system requires acceptance of these terms of use.

2. Eligibility

All registered users with an active VanSite account are eligible to participate. Participation is free and automatic when using relevant platform features.

3. Earning Points

Points are awarded for specific activities, including but not limited to:

  • Referring a host: 1,500 points (repeatable)

  • Recommending the annual pass: 200 points (repeatable)

  • Referring VanSite to friends: 150 points (repeatable)

  • Completing your profile: 100 points (one-time)

  • Leaving a review (trip or guest): 50 points (repeatable)

  • Birthday bonus: 50 points (one-time)

  • Other actions (e.g., social follows) may earn points temporarily

The exact number and types of points awarded may change and are displayed transparently in the user profile or on the website.

4. Point Expiration

Points expire 24 months after being credited if not redeemed. Cash payout of points is not possible.

5. Redeeming Points

  • Points can be redeemed starting at a minimum balance of 500 points.

  • Redemption is only possible through the user’s VanSite account.

  • Available rewards and vouchers, including any specific conditions, are shown in the redemption section.

6. Abuse & Exclusion

VanSite reserves the right to cancel points or exclude users from the program in cases of suspected abuse (e.g., multiple accounts, fake referrals, etc.).

7. Changes or Termination

VanSite reserves the right to modify, pause, or terminate the points system at any time. Any changes will be communicated in advance via the platform or email. Already earned points will remain redeemable for at least 3 months after the change is announced.

8. Liability

VanSite is not liable for technical issues that may result in incorrect point allocation. Any liability for damages is excluded unless caused by gross negligence or intent.

9. Privacy

All data collected in the context of the points system is subject to our Privacy Policy and is used solely for managing the program.

10. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

German law applies. The place of jurisdiction – as far as legally permitted – is the registered office of VanSite UG (haftungsbeschränkt).
