About the site
The Sulzbach Valley's renaturation is being maintained through grazing. You can camp right in the middle of a cow pasture! A gravel parking lot right next to the stream is easily accessible via a gate. Just open it (be careful, the fence is live when the cattle are there. They're very tame and good neighbors :)). You're welcome to feed them carrots or apples. Just ask about additional activities; the Rheingau has a lot to offer...

I had a fantastic time! It was, as described, in the middle of a cow pasture. The animals immediately came and greeted me curiously. But they disappeared again after a few minutes. Marco was super friendly, polite, very accommodating, and thrilled with my arrival. I had to call him because I couldn't find it right away, but after he described it to me again, it wasn't a problem. He also sent me valuable tips and information about the surrounding area! Thank you so much for that. So if you'd like to go "nature camping" in the middle of a cow pasture, this is the place for you!

A wonderfully quiet spot surrounded by nature. We had a view of the vineyards and, in the morning, the company of three friendly, curious cows. 😅 Marco is a fantastic host; I felt very welcome and well looked after. Thank you so much!
