About the site
8 hectare land with views where our 6 rescued horses roam free. Located at the foothills of the mata Nacional and only a 10 minute drive to Praia de Luz, this is an excelent place for a stop over.

Sakshin is a very warm and welcoming host. On his property you’ll find some nice camp spots with great views over the paddock. Facilities are simple and clean: dry toilets, warm showers and a sink for your cutlery is available. The animals roam freely which means you might get a visit from a curious horse, a friendly dog, a petloving cat or a fluffy chicken. We stayed for a week, enjoyed the tranquility, the simple life with stars and went for walks in the nearby forest or made day trips to the beach. We will definitely visit again.

Sakshin is a very lovely man, he does everything that you are happy. You can feel that he loves all his animals very much. There is water, a toilet and if you need there is electricity. You sleep directly by the horses, it’s a Wild West feeling when you stand there. There is a dog, a cat, chickens and the horses. Sashkin made for himself a paradise in which you could live with him for the time you stay there. We loved it totally and we will come again. Thank you Sakshin for the never forgetting night.
