About the site
On our Wendland meadow in the heart of the Elbufer-Wendland Nature Park, you'll find your perfect haven of peace with views of our private horse paddock, riding arena, and forest. Also ideal for the KLP (Cultural Countryside Outing). Our pitch is easily accessible and accessible without any height or length restrictions. Experience the most beautiful clear starry sky, rare complete silence, and the scent of untouched nature. Whether you simply want to spend the night in beautiful, peaceful surroundings or want to stay longer and explore the surrounding area, there's something for everyone here. We are the perfect starting point for hikes in nature, even directly from our farm. The large "Lucie" forest and bird sanctuary is located directly behind our farm. Great bike tours are also possible. The famous Nemitzer Heide is just a 20-minute bike ride away, and the Elbe River is only a 35-minute bike ride away. A slipway on the Elbe River is also a good 10-minute drive away. Very interesting for anyone with their own boat. The Lüchow-Rehbeck airfield is close to us and also a great starting point for a sightseeing flight over our beautiful Wendland region. (No aircraft noise at our campsite.) A waste disposal station is available in the district town of Lüchow (a 10-minute drive). You can dispose of normal household quantities of glass and paper with us. Please take residual waste, plastic, and other waste disposal with you and organize your own disposal. Horses, dogs, and wild birds live on our farm. No barnyard smells or crowing roosters. Children are very welcome! We look forward to hearing from you.

Respect nature and the animals on our farm: - Do not leave trash in nature or on our farm. - No open fires outside of our fire pit. - No loud music or noise. - Do not feed the animals. Nighttime quiet (at room volume): 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM Any type of vehicle is welcome, provided you have a toilet on board.

July 2024
We spent two nights at this idyllic spot and would have loved to stay longer in this beautiful natural setting. The owners, a friendly and helpful young family, gave us a very warm welcome and took the time to give us an overview of the site and the surrounding area. The pitch, overlooking the forest, is a decent size. After a lovely bike ride to the Elbe River, we ended the evening around our campfire (wood for the fire bowl provided on site is available for purchase). After a peaceful night, we enjoyed breakfast overlooking the distant horse paddock. It's so lovely to simply unwind. We'd love to come back on our way home. We highly recommend the site and our stay here.

The property is easy to find. The location is truly rural, meaning you're staying on a farm. The host family is very friendly, and you're given a free choice of pitch and a sheet with Wi-Fi information, various bike tours, and the "rules of etiquette." It's a very quiet place overall. Unfortunately, at the time I was there, there was a party going on at the neighbor's, with very loud music until late into the night, but the host said that wasn't the case. Highly recommended. There are also animals (dogs and horses) on the farm, but this didn't affect us in any way.

Although my visit was in February, the Wendland region is worth seeing for hikes and bike rides, including the Elbe River. Thank you for your hospitality at your idyllic campsite, a private park-like property. I'd be happy to come back anytime. The hosts are happy to help with advice, even if you have any problems.
