About the site
Parking space Our property is in the forest and yet in the middle of the Ruhr area. Hikes and bike tours are possible directly from the parking space. The old town of Hattingen, the Kemnader Lake and the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path are about 5 km away.

Just like our last visit, it was a wonderful getaway in nature. Unfortunately, we didn't meet the hosts in person, but since we knew the area, that wasn't a problem.

This was our second time staying with Jürgen at the Eselwiese and we once again enjoyed pure relaxation. It's a simply beautiful, tranquil location. We'd love to come back.

Such a beautiful spot! I spent the night there alone in my car and felt very safe. The surroundings are beautiful, and everything was very easy. There was electricity right up to the door via a cable reel ☺️ I would come back anytime!

A truly wonderful place in the middle of nature. The hosts are very friendly and uncomplicated. You feel like you're visiting family. From here you can start the hike or just relax for a few days. In general it is very quiet, only the airplanes can be heard, depending on the wind direction. The dog, Emma, is friendly and gets along very well with other dogs. It's a place where the dogs can move around freely. There are plenty of parking spaces. However, ramps are always a good idea. There are two easily accessible spots and a large meadow, which should only be accessed with four-wheel drive. In general, the site is not suitable for very long or wide motorhomes. Electricity is easily available via a cable reel and water from the garden hose. We would love to come back.
