About the site
Farm with almost 1 hectare of meadow and more than 2,000 square meters of forest. 1 km from the village center, in a very quiet area with no houses around. The location shown on the map is incorrect. The property is on the street parallel to the one indicated, a few meters away, opposite a timber sawmill, on the other side of the road, if you look towards the village, on the right. At the entrance, there are four small iron bars covered with yellow and black tape. In Friol there are all kinds of basic services, a beautiful river walk and a magnificent public swimming pool (€3). Nearby places of interest: Torre S. Paio de Narla: 10 min Roman Temple of Bóveda: 15 min Sobrado dos Monxes Monastery: 20 min Lugo: 20 min A Coruña: 1 hour Santiago: 1 hour Beaches: 1 hour O Courel and Os Ancares Mountains: 1h 30min A beautiful hiking trail passes through Friol, connecting the original Camino de Santiago in Lugo with the northern Camino in Sobrado dos Monxes in two stages. It's marked with a green arrow, and you can find the trail on Wikiloc.

Site rules
You can camp wherever you like. There are areas with shade or sun. Preferably use the area on your left when you enter the property. Stand at a safe distance from other campers. There is plenty of space. On the right side there is a small pool with water, not drinkable and not usable. It is well signposted and although it is not deep (normally it does not reach 1 m deep) you must be careful with children or dogs in that area. Fires are not allowed. Please avoid noise or loud music that may disturb other campers or neighbours. Respect the rest of the other campers at night. Open only in summer.

Sehr schöner Platz aber am nächsten Morgen stand die Polizei bei uns und erklärte, dass es in diesem Bezirk zwar nicht illegal ist aber auch nicht legal ist auf einem Privatgrundstück zu campen. Und verwies uns freundlich des Platzes. Der Besitzer des Grundstücks wurde seitens der Polizei kontaktiert und informiert das, dass so nicht zulässig ist.

I had a wonderful stay at Jose's Place. It's very quiet, a lovely place and even the signal is perfect for remote working. I will definitely come back one day :)
